Trevor's Travels: August 2012

To recap, I've been in Vancouver for about three and a half months, away from Ottawa over four months, and planning on coming here for about two years. I've had an apartment for three months, a job for two and a half and have been regularly attending the same church for about three.

In case you are wondering, this absolutely blows my mind. I mean, it's the way I dreamed everything would turn out, but I never actually thought it would turn out this well! But in the interest of giving credit where credit is due, I'd like to thank my Mom, Jesus and all the people along the way who encouraged me to follow my dreams. That last line was an attempt to be funny, but I'm actually serious. Thanks Mom for letting me leave without too much fuss, and I have been incredibly blessed with my job, my friends and my living situation, and I really did receive a lot of support from friends, family, and even strangers in the way of kind words and advice.

Since getting here, I've taken advantage of my surroundings, and have done a very good job at exploring the city (I haven't used my GPS in like, a month!), and more recently I've started exploring the surrounding mountains, doing a bunch of hiking. I got a bike recently and started biking to work, which has put me in probably the best shape I've ever been in my life which is AWESOME. I have so much energy for activities!

Anyway, before I go into too much detail and bore you I'm just going to stop.

tl;dr: I'm having a great time in Vancouver!
